The story behind my passion
I’m Mary Vidal, wife, mom of two, women’s health coach, personal trainer, yoga and self-massage instructor, breast cancer survivor & outdoor enthusiast.
I began teaching yoga to moms after my first child was born. It quickly became clear that there were many things that moms like you and me didn’t know:
How challenging it is to restore your WholeCore - abs, back, pelvic floor & breathing diaphragm.
You can’t just jump back into all your activities after 6 weeks.
Yoga and running are not enough to “get your body back”.
Your whole being is forever changed, physically, mentally & emotionally.
Even after you recover from childbirth, you body continues to change as you move through perimenopause.
I was told “it’s normal”, “everything’s fine”, but I didn’t feel fine. And I wasn’t alone. It became my mission to find a way to help myself and moms like you to feel better in our bodies.
And so I began my motherhood fitness & self-care journey. I’ve spent over 15 years searching for answers, studying different approaches and I’m still learning. Here are the key lessons I’d like to share with you:
It takes a whole body, whole person approach.
One size does not fit all.
There is no magic wand.
You can’t do it alone. You need a team to support you.
Adjusting your fitness & self-care for your age and stage is key.
Most of all you have to become your own health and wellness champion. No one else will do it for you.
